The Boy Who Played with UFOs « Gilda35 || Gary #McKinnon

By Jovanz74, translation by Asphodelia.

8 years ago I learnt from the media of Technocore the shocking story of Gary McKinnon – the British ‘hacker’ with Asperger Syndrome, a form of autism that seriously compromises a person’s social skills but leaves intact the ‘technical’ side of thinking.

A person affected by Asperger Syndrome (which is sometimes considered a disability)  often displays savant-like characteristics; Gary who might have been lacking in his ability to interact socially, was on the other hand very well versed with computer programming skills.

But what did he do?  Quite simply, Gary – a UFO enthusiast – had hacked into some of the biggest digital fortresses of Technocore in his search of evidence of extraterrestrial life.

As I am a fan of the irrational I was initially rather amused when I read the story -  I even entertained the fantasy that this funny ‘crazy’ man might have even downloaded the data about Area 51 (the alleged US Government research facility for the study of UFO of Roswell fame).

I put down the papers and magazines I was reading, clicked away from the websites and switched off the TV, thinking that maybe Gary was going to be sent somewhere, to some sort of ‘treatment’ facility where he would receive help with his condition.

Fast forward 8 years later – I learnt this morning – via two ‘conspiratory’ Direct Messages from @ezekiel and@franki_kuka that not only Gary is still under bail conditions but he is also going to be extradited to the USA, to serve his sentence – possibly 70 years – given by the US justice system for his acts of ‘cyber terrorism’.

God forbid – in Italy we have more important things to think about (bunga-bunga¹, Ruby Heartstealer², the Avetrana Peaks³, escorts⁴, apartments in Monaco⁵ and Papy⁶) – the Technocore agenda keeps us entertained with such things whilst they go about destroying human beings.

But I am still going to say it – let the Machines vaporize me for that.

Gary acted in the maximum expression of the human spirit and did what a Machine can’t do: he jeopardised his own life for a dream; he threw himself into a self-destructive screw-up of epic proportions, not in order to acquire money, power or fame, but to learn about a Truth so important that was worth sacrificing everything else for. Gary did something the the bio-machines of Technocore the carbon-based chips of computers and smartphones just cannot do.

A civilisation incapable of feeling compassion for a human story such as Gary’s is a civilisation that has lost its way.

Should we punish the error of a ‘crazy man’, only because he has dared to violate the Sacred Goddesses of the Technocore? Should a cyber-crime committed by a European citizen be punished by the US authorities with the same criteria of a terrorist attack in which innocent civilians have been killed? How far can Europe take its servile attitude in relation to the US – if it already allows them to walk all over the fundamental principles of defending the vulnerable and of making a punishment commensurate to the crime that has actually been committed?

Is it fair that a person with issues of mental health is punished in the same way as a person of ‘normal’ intellectual faculties? Is it fair to dish out the same sentence to someone who violated the security of computers as to someone who took human lives?

Dear ‘Researchers’, sadly the above are not stupid questions;  in fact, it is from the answers to these very questions that our entire future depends.

My apologies if I briefly distracted you from the programming schedules of the Technocore – it’s almost time for ‘just another show with sex & violence’ to start!.

Endnotes provided by the translator for the benefit of those lucky enough not to know:

¹ – Some sort of orgiastic ‘after dinner’ ritual allegedly favoured by Colonel Gheddafi and which also allegedly Berlusconi adopted for his little soirées at his villa.

² – 19 year-old Maroccan girl who ‘exposed’ the scandal of ‘bunga-bunga’ (see note 1)

³ – The author is comparing the murder of Sarah Scazzi in Avetrana, Puglia, to David Lynch’s Twin Peaks, in which Laura Palmer’s body is also retrieved from the water.

⁴ – Berlusconi loves to surround himself with escorts, underage girls and aspiring starlets

⁵ – Public expenses-type scandal involving Gianfranco Fini’s brother in law and an apartment in the Montecarlo, Monaco Principality.

⁶ – ‘Daddy’ – Noemi Letizia’s ‘pet’ name for Berlusconi. Letizia was underage when she began attending Silvio Berlusconi’s dinner parties, as it emerged in 2009.
