shut it off or accept a lesser, but less frustrating, service. We need
real competition that would not only give us other local options for
high-speed Internet service but also pressure Comcast to do a better

Comcast Internet users can now keep track of their data usage to make
sure they don't go over their 250GB a month data allowance, thanks to
bandwidth meters deployed nationwide. Comcast, which was dinged by the

month cap in August 2008 -- as a way for it to cut down on its
heaviest bandwidth users.

According to a new study, 52 percent of bloggers surveyed consider
themselves journalists. This is an increase from a 2009 study, when
just one in three had the same opinion. However, despite this, only 20
percent of bloggers obtain the majority of their income from their
blogs, which is a 4 percent increase from 2009.

or whether it was still looking into the matter.

With buyouts and layoffs in progress, the mood at ABC News cannot be
good. It was probably not enhanced by the ratings report for the first
quarter of the year showing that the network's evening newscast had
sunk to the lowest numbers the program has had since 1987. The same
situation prevailed at CBS. NBC was the only winner due to it's
Olympics coverage.
